Bobcat Basin Livestock owners, Mike and Alyssa Keyser raise their horses on rough, wide open country in south central Montana. With a handful of broodmares and a ranch cavvy, there are always colts moving through groundwork and trotting miles of mountainous terrain to work out the kinks. Their horses are put through their paces, being used in every aspect of ranch work. From doctoring in open pastures, calving in snow and ice, branding calves in the spring, too sorting and shipping. Mike spends countless hours training sound horses suitable for his wife and two young daughters to ride while caring for their cattle.
