Eskimo Joe

When TJ asked if I had a horse to consign to the sale he said he only wanted my best one. Well, here he is Eskimo Joe. Joe is a 6 year old half Gypsy gelding. I’ve owned him for the last 4 years and in those 4 years he’s done everything on the ranch, from branding, doctoring cattle, and to pulling the calving sled while night calving. We spend our summers on the Big Horn Mountains at a cow camp and he’s my choice to ride no matter the task. He has lead pack strings into the hills and is totally unfazed by all they have to offer. Gentle is an understatement for Joe, he loves attention and is always the first one ready to be caught or just loved on. I have had people of all calibers of riding experience on Joe and he takes care of everyone. Whether you want a sweet ride going down the trail or make a statement at the neighbors branding, Joe is just the one for that. He’s the perfect size for a half draft with the much desired stoutness but still easy to get on. Not many of these half Gypsy’s have seen and done the things that Joe has at such a young age.
