DESCRIPTION | Good Bros Loop 17 “Amos”
How about a big horse that can move like a little horse? Amos is a header or pickup man’s DREAM. 15.3 and 1400 lbs, tons of bone and foot, Amos is built to last but he’s extremely athletic and can absolutely get around like a little horse. This gorgeous sorrel gelding has been around the block time and time again on the ranch from spring and fall works, feedlots, and cow camps in the mountains. Amos has seen the nastiest country you can find and always keeps his feet under him even when he’s being used as a pack horse. Very, very cowy to sort on— he will get around on one, he’s fun to drag calves to the fire with, he’s great to snub colts, work a flag off him to get cows into the tub, he’s also been used on numerous catch jobs to catch wild cattle in the brush. Amos will pull a house down dragging one in the trailer or a bull out of the arena. Tracks and works a rope fantastic when doctoring cattle outside. Aside from all the ranch chores, Amos is no stranger to the big city lights as he has been used extensively as a pick-up horse and to shag bulls. He will not get outran and he has no problems with guys getting off on him. He will absolutely drag a bull out of the arena. He will also be used in numerous ranch rodeos through the winter. Anybody can ride Amos but he is not a plug and likes to go to work, so he would do best with somebody that rides fairly often. He is truly a broke and seasoned horse— he has absolutely no buck or silliness. Amos does flying lead changes, has a big stop, and can really turn around. He hauls, stands tied, ground ties, hobbles, bathes, shoes, catches, saddles, and gets along with anything you put him with.
