KL Mr. Blue Moon “Hoot”

KL MR BLUE MOON, affectionately known as Hoot, is a handsome, kind, and well-rounded black gelding that is as broke as he is handsome. Hoot is 14.3 hands and weighs 1100lbs. He’s been used to drag calves, gather pastures, and work as the pen back horse at the sale barn. He’s been lightly started out of the heeling box and on the breakaway too. He is no stranger to the finer things of life and will lope a beautiful collected circle, complete simple lead changes, extend his trot or slow it down for a cute jog trot. He has a friendly and warm personality that makes it difficult not to fall in love with him. He has a nice neck rein and will side pass, complete haunch turns and back with ease. He’s seen the sights of town and is traffic safe. He’s fantastic on the trail and crosses logs, water, brush, ditches, and bridges with ease. Hoot is confident out alone or will set the pace in the group. Hoot has nothing but grit and determination and he is the go to boy for a long day. Hoot is happy to perform any type of circus trick as well and will push the ball, pull the sled, pack a flag, or walk over the tarp. He’s great with dogs and has experienced every type of traffic near our house on old Route 66. Hoot is up to date on dental, hoof care, chiropractic, and vaccines. Hoot will sell with our optional two day clinic at our home facility in Baxter Springs, Kansas in addition to a comprehensive manual about his cues, health care, and habits.
